Annaïk Lou Pitteloud’s work makes use of different media to direct the viewer’s attention to the invisible components of image construction. ELITOPIA, GLAMOGLOBALITY, NARCYNICISM and INTROSPECULATION: each neon text forms a neologism. These new terms invented by the artist should be in the process of entering common use, or should actually already be fully accepted into mainstream language if we consider the accuracy with which they describe our epoch.
ELITOPIA is lit in cyan, GLAMOGLOBALITY in magenta, NARCYNICISM in yellow and INTROSPECULATION in black. These four colours constitute the CMYK colour model, a colorimetric system used for printing and, as such, related to the idea of mass distribution.
